How can a teacher view the observation scores shared by the principal?

Background:

Once a principal has shared the observation scores with a teacher, the teacher can compare the principal's scores against their own. It may also be helpful to the teacher to have the principal's scores before attending the post-conference. This tutorial will provide the teacher with the steps for viewing the principal's shared observation scores.

Follow these steps:

The next time the teacher signs in to eVAL, s/he will notice an orange NEW notification icon by the Observations link in their dashboard. The orange icon is not hyperlinked, but the word Observations is. Click on the Observations link.

Navigate to the observation module for this observation, and click on the Align and Score tab.

To view the principal's scores for the collected evidence:

  1. Make sure that the Input Filter displays Evaluator Only.
  2. Click on a component in the Rubric Navigator that has a numeral under the Collected column.
  3. On the left side of the work space, you will be able to see how the principal aligned the evidence with the rubric, and how the principal scored the evidence.
  4. The actual evidence will appear under the Packaged Evidence section toward the bottom of the work space.

To view all scores:

  1. Click on each component in the Rubric Navigator that has a numeral under the Collected column.
  2. The principal's alignment and score for that evidence will appear on the left.
  3. To view scores for components in the other dimensions or domains, click on their headings, and their components will be revealed.
