What does the teacher see on their end?

Background

Once the evaluating principal schedules an observation of a teacher, the teacher will be able to view information about that observation the next time that s/he signs into eVAL.

The Notification

Each time the teacher signs into eVAL, the information on their Dashboard will be visible.

  1. A green marker will be displayed to the left of the Dashboard menu item to indicate that the Dashboard is active.
  2. If any new activity has taken place since the last time the teacher signed in, there will be an orange notification that says NEW next to the eVAL module where that activity has taken place. The notification itself is not hyperlinked; it is simply a notification. However, the name of the module to the left of the notification IS hyperlinked.

Drilling Down a Little More

The image above shows the orange NEW notifcation next to the hyperlinked module called Observations. Clicking on the hyperlinked word will take you further down on that same page, where you can see more information about the new activity.

  1. Basic information will be displayed in the first column.
  2. The orange NEW notification will be in the column and next to a very short description about the new activity.
  3. To actually view the new activity, click on the green View bottom in the right column.

Getting the Specifics

Clicking on the green View button (see step #3 above) will bring you to the page for the Observation Setup tab. In the image below, the teacher can see the dates and times that the principal has scheduled for the pre-conference, the observation, and the post-conference
