How does a principal view a teacher's self-assessment?

Background:

A principal can view a teacher's self-assessment if the teacher has shared it with him/her. This article will provide the steps a principal takes in order to view a self-assessment shared by the teacher.

Follow these steps:

Sign in to eVAL and use the work area for evaluating teachers. (This is found in the Options link in the top portion of the menu area on the left.)

  1. Use the pull-down menu in the Evaluating section of the menu, and select the teacher whose self-assessment you wish to view.
  2. If a teacher has recently shared a self-assessment with you, an orange notification icon will appear to the right of the Self-Assessments link. This orange notification is not hyperlinked; it is simply a notification.
  3. Click on the hyperlinked Self-Assessments.

The Self-Assessments section of that teacher's dashboard page will be displayed.

  1. The scores they assigned will be listed in the Score column for that self-assessment.
  2. To view more about this teacher's self-assessment, click on the green View button on the right.

The Self-Assessment module for that teacher will be displayed.

  1. Click on the Align & Score tab at the top of the work space.
  2. In the Rubric Navigator, click on the Performance button.
  3. Click on a domain/dimension in the Rubric Navigator to diplay its components. It is here where you can see how the teacher self-assessed in each of its components.

To view a supportive artifact that a teacher has linked to this self-assessment, click on the Artifacts tab at the top of the work space. Then click on the green View button. The artifact will be visible on your screen.

This is the last article in this chapter.
