This help page assumes that your district has already enabled the Exemplar Video module. If you have not yet done this step return to Enabling Exemplar Videos for directions.

The evaluator can optionally choose to assign one or more exemplars to a teacher within the context of an observation. The assignment process takes place within the Post-conference section on the Responses & Notes tab.

When the Assign Exemplar button is clicked, you will be directed to the Exemplar area Assignments page with the page pre-populated to assign one or more exemplars to this observation.

and when you click on the Assign button the assignment dialog will be pre-populated to assign the exemplar to the observation.

In addition to assigning exemplars from within an observation, the teacher can view and complete the exemplar and the evaluator can view the results, within the observation section. By clicking the View button on an exemplar in the list within the observation, the exemplar will be expanded.
